Abraham Lincoln (February 12, 1809 – April 15, 1865), the sixteenth President of the United States, successfully led his country through its greatest internal crisis, the American Civil War, only to be assassinated as the war was coming to an end. Before becoming the first Republican elected to the Presidency, Lincoln was a lawyer,an Illinois state legislator,a member of the United States House of Representatives,and an unsuccessful candidate for election to the Senate.
President Lincoln suffer from a disease which has the tendency for a block protrait to be difficult to recognize as a meaningful image when viewed close up but to become more recognizable when viewed from a distance or when blurred by half closing the eyes, for example, loss of information paradoxically increasing the recognizability of the image. This is also being referred as Abraham Lincoln effect.
Some disabilities wouldn’t affect us in certain professional field, but all of them would have great impact on our daily life. Famous people are no difference from usually human being when faced with such diseases. Being a successful President and fighting against those diseases in the mean while, his psychological disorder problem of his made him a more honorable man in the U.S. history.
